Join us as we celebrate Martin Luther King Jr, unlock the secrets of effective communication, and reclaim your space with our empowering workshops on January 14, 2024, at Pinetree Community Centre.

Candace Knoll, President & founder of JrBAA

JRBAA Founder and President Candace Knoll, a seasoned communication expert, presents “Delivering a Successful Presentation”. Learn the top 10 tips on how to speak effectively, whether in academic settings, professional environments, or community platforms. Enhance your presentation skills and gain confidence in delivering impactful speeches.

The focus of this workshop is to prepare the Grade 11 and 12 contestants to compete in the annual “Stellar Stars” Speech Competition at the Spring Educational Youth Weekend Retreat. There will be a $2,000.00 scholarship awarded to the competition winner.

Mabel Taunu, a seasoned professional in employment services and youth development and a JrBAA Facilitator

Facilitated by Mabel Taunu, the “Reclaiming your Space” workshop is designed to empower individuals to reclaim their voice and presence. Explore strategies to navigate spaces confidently, whether in your personal or professional life. Discover the art of self-expression and assertiveness, building skills that transcend into various aspects of your journey.
